I have worked in schools, parent/child centers, and community mental health agencies, supporting people as they work through change in their lives. I strive to provide you with a supportive, collaborative, and nurturing space to explore the reasons that bring you to counseling. I will listen and work with you to contemplate solutions to problems that can feel overwhelming.
Depending on your goals and personal needs, I draw from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Narrative, Solutions Focused, Trauma informed, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, Attachment theory, and Brainspotting (an interpersonal neurobiology method) in a holistic and integrative approach to therapy.
I also have a Masters in Music, flute performance from the University of Massachusetts. Performance anxiety was an issue for me in my music career and lead me to pursue my interest in mental health and strategies to deal with anxiety and performance. If this is a challenge for you, I can help!
