Ariel Cahn-Flores is a licensed psychotherapist (LICSW) in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinic, parent child center, therapeutic group homes, and schools. Ariel is a musician with a Masters in Music Performance, an entrepreneur, and co-founder of the non profit, Start Change, Inc.

Whether you are interested in counseling or coaching, Ariel provides a supportive, strengths based, collaborative, and nurturing space to explore your challenges. Depending on your goals and personal needs, her therapy approach draws from trainings in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)  DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing), Brainspotting, MI (Motivational Interviewing),  in a holistic and integrative approach including solutions-focused, attachment theory, trauma informed, and mindfulness methods.

Ariel also offers a variety of in-person and web-based coaching services for clients interested in self improvement, wellness, performance enhancement, and parenting. Ariel’s own experience with performance anxiety lead her to pursue her interest in mental health and to develop strategies to deal with anxiety in performance. She is available for clinical supervision for social workers working towards licensure in Vermont and also offers consulting for mental health workers starting their own private practice. As a life-long learner, Ariel is continually exploring and working on her own practices of growth and self-betterment.
